Photo posting tutorial
Posting pictures in a forum thread
By Trevor shpeley
Putting a picture or pictures in a post you make on Fly.BC will improve any thread and help you get your message accross. Unfortunatly some people get bogged down in the technicalities of it and never put any pictures up which is a shame since there is so many great pics to be shared just rotting away in the depths of the long forgotten photo folders on their desktops.
In an effort to help those people, here is a point by point illistrated instruction tutorial that I hope will help you out.
Step 1:
If you haven't already, post your pictures onto an online server somewhere. The easiest way to do that on Fly.BC is to contact myself or Hoof and ask for your own picture gallery. Posting pics to it is as simple as following the directions in the pop up boxes and of course help is always only a PM away.
Step 2:
Open the picture you wish to post and RIGHT click on it. Select "properties" from the drop down menu.
Step 3:
Hightlight the ENTIRE address from the location box and right click on it and select "copy" (Or just put your mouse over the highlighted text and press ctrl c )
Somitimes as in the case in this illistration there are two addresses in the properties box, always take the lower one that says "location"
Step 4:
Click on the icon that looks like a little painting on the "post reply" page.
Step 5:
A box for entering the address of your picture will apear. Clear the box of the "http" stuff by backspacing through it .
Step 6:
Fill the box with the address of your picture by clicking in the field and using the "paste" function or simply press ctrl v
Step 7:
Preview your post to make sure everything looks OK and you haven't accidently posted your honeymoon pictures and Swamps your uncle, you're good to go!
I hope this helped people that were having a little trouble. You know how to find me if it didn't. Now lets see some more pics!
